BLCM Systems is a subsidiary of Beadlight, a British manufacturing company focusing on design, quality and safety. We manufacture precision products.
In 1997, Beadlight designed the first ever LED reading light for a commercial airliner (Virgin Atlantic). Over the last 20 years Beadlight has become a significant participator in the aerospace reading light market. We are a fast expanding company with in-house designers and engineers who strive to tailor lights to client requirements.
In the Aerospace Industry we work with all the major airlines and seat manufacturers.
Since 2019 we have offered our design and manufacture to the Corrosion Monitoring Industry under the name BLCM Systems, helping produce innovative solutions.
Manufacturing takes place at our Head Office in Oxfordshire allowing us to ensure the production of top quality products.
In 2013, Beadlight was purchased by the Original BTC Group (one of the fastest growing companies in the UK: Sunday Times- December 2013) adding its core competencies in LED and diffusion technologies, to the strength of the Group.
Engineering
Our engineering team has 17 years of electro-mechanical, software and dedicated measurement electronics experience within the structural monitoring industry. Team members have worked on several major European civil projects and have in-depth experience of working within the civil structural monitoring field.
We provide a high-quality integrated corrosion monitoring solution for structural monitoring systems that performs above and beyond other products on the market.
Our system helps the Structural engineer determine the ongoing lifespan of their concrete structures by monitoring the internal health of the reinforced steel in the concrete.
Certification
Beadlight designs, engineers and manufactures products to the appropriate standards prevailing at the time; the base standards being CE, EN 61000-6-4, EN 61000-6-2, EN 50121-4EMC, and BS EN 62262.
As part of the service, our Certification Engineers plan and manage the verification testing process of each product and work with clients to provide the relevant documentation for the project.
